The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has issued a final rule requiring electronic stability control (ESC) on new heavy truck tractors. So reports NHTSA.gov.

This Summer Construction work is the second most likely occupation to result in eye injuries, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. So reports Occupational Health and Safety Online.

The new rule, made effective in January 2015, requires employers to notify OSHA within eight hours when an employee is killed on the job; and within 24 hours when an employee suffers a work-related hospitalization, amputation or loss of an eye.
