An excavation project in the Bronx neighborhood of New York has unearthed ancient artifacts and led to the shut down of construction of a waterfront project. So reports The New York Post.
Construction workers unearthed approximately 100 pieces of Native American pottery, stone tools, ceramic dishes and other relics dating back as far as 200 AD. The project to improve access to the waterfront at Pelham Bay Park could be redesigned so it does not disturb the artifacts
