The state of Georgia will need to spend hundreds of millions of dollars to address a backlog of road maintenance, construction projects and aging infrastructure, according to a recently released report. So reports the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
A report from the advocacy group TRIP states that dozens of projects will come up short of the needed funds in coming years. The population of Georgia is expected to grow by 2.5 million people in the next few years. The report did not call for a specific funding amount.
