New startup SmartSite recently released a new tech tool to track the elements construction crews are exposed to and take measures to protect them from harmful effects that can lead to serious health problems. So reports Tech Crunch.
SmartSite has combined hardware and cloud-based software that monitors noise levels, airborne particulates and UV rays. The system monitors conditions using a microphone, laser particle counters, and UV sensors while the proprietary software allows construction teams to quickly see if workers may be at risk on a jobsite.
Some of the most common occupational health and safety concerns experienced by construction workers arise from exposure to noise, skin irritants, and respiratory irritants. The monitoring system is designed for accuracy and without interrupting workflow at the job site.
