May Jobs Numbers Down Amid Mining, Construction, Manufacturing Cuts: Report

U.S. companies in May added the least number of jobs in nine years as construction, manufacturing and mining companies dropped workers, according to payroll processor ADP. So reports CBS News.

Construction jobs dipped by 36,000 and manufacturers lost 3,000 employees amid May’s 27,000 jobs gained across the board. The number is expected to differ from official statistics provided by the federal government.
