Construction Unemployment Rises in 25 States

An analysis from the Associated Builders and Contractors shows that the estimated (not seasonally adjusted) construction unemployment rates for December 2019 fell in 24 states and nationally, but rose in 25 states. It remained static in New York. So reports AZBigMedia.

construction 652292 640 smallThe data, provided by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, showed the industry employed 143,000 more workers in the U.S. compared to December of 2018. Overall, the unemployment rate fell from 5.1% to 5%. Florida had the lowest rate at 2.4% while West Virginia had the highest at 11.7%.
