Timbercraft Reaches Out to Youth Interested in Construction Careers

Nationally known for its timber framing methodology, Timbercraft partnered with local construction trade classes at the Jackson (MI) Area Careers Center to show students the look of finished timber-framed buildings and to help them better understand career options in the building trades. The students not only visited the production plant, they also visited the home of Timbercraft founders, Bob and Anne Sternquist. These opportunities to interact with students who are already considering construction and engineering careers helps Timbercraft bolster a new generation of qualified workers. It also helps students assess their interests and opens doors they might not otherwise consider entering.
