John Tishman, visionary builder of the World Trade Center’s Twin Towers, died on February 8, 2016 of respiratory failure. So reports The New York Daily News.

Tishman’s construction legacy also includes Madison Square Garden and the 1,100-foot John Hancock Center in Chicago. He also masterminded the design of Disney’s Epcot Center in Florida. At the time of his death, Tishman, a retired U.S. naval officer, was at his home in Bedford NY.
