Martin J. Walsh, Mayor for the city of Boston, MA named John Hanlon as the Commissioner of the Property and Construction Management Department.

A native of Dorchester, MA, Hanlon brings more than 13 years of executive experience in the nonprofit sector, particularly in finance, data analysis, and professional development. Hanlon will provide oversight in a number of areas, including management, maintenance, security, and operations of Boston City Hall and City Hall Plazas well as a number of other municipal facilities throughout the city. The focus of his work will be on preserving and managing the city’s assets in the best interest of quality of life residents and employees of Boston.
