When discussing current trends in the construction-insurance marketplace, “the single largest issue in the industry is a lack of qualified and experienced talent, at all levels: not just field labor, but project engineering, project management, leadership, etc.” sayd Brian Cooper, managing director of Arthur J. The problem began with the recession in late 2007 and spawned lingering problems in attracting and retaining qualified workers. The report also highlights construction project strategies, mentoring and coaching programs and other solutions to turn the tides on worker shortages.
