Mount Pleasant adopted a controversial limit on new residential construction. So reports Post and Courier.

The limit will cut home construction by one-third. The rules were implemented after “hours of debate, numerous amendments and pleas from home builders and real estate professionals to delay, change or reject the plan.” Some are concerned the new regulations will cause harm to small builders and residents while others want growth restrained.
