Construction crews in Texas have been battling crippling heat. Safety crews have been tasked with ensuring the workers stay hydrated. So reports NBCDFW, an NBC affiliate.
The triple-digit heat has led the crews to hand out electrolyte-filled popsicles and workers are taking frequent breaks. Some have even resorted to dipping their gear in water. For others, adding special coverings on their hard hats supply extra shade.
