City planners in Denver are making changes to zoning rules to curb the construction of “slot” homes, which have irked some residents. So reports an ABC affiliate in Denver.

The homes are oriented sideways so the front of the building does not face the street. This allows more homes to be fit in areas being redeveloped. Some proposed changes include requiring town house units to face the street (with some exceptions), height restrictions and encouraging developers to cut down on blank street side walls.
