A new report from the New York Committee for Occupational Safety and Health indicated construction deaths hit a 14-year state high in 2016. So reports The Associated Press.

The group called for better enforcement of workplace safety regulations at the state and local level. According to the report, 71 workers died in 2016, up from 55 the year prior. Construction workers die 4.6 times more in New York than the overall rate.
