Construction is booming in sunny Florida! So reports the Sun Sentinel.

A survey by the Associated Builders and Contractors of Florida indicates 88% of firms are looking to hire skilled workers in the course of the next six months. Most of these firms know they are going to have difficulty finding enough workers to execute projects in a timely manner.

In particular, South Florida has the highest need but the lowest availability of skilled workers (e.g. electricians, pipe-fitters, carpenters, etc.). Even with thousands of jobs added in the early part of 2017, the need can’t be filled fast enough with the existing candidate pool.
