U.S. Home Construction Leaps Ahead in February

The leap year was a lucky one for the construction industry. So reports from U.S. News  World Report.

The U.S. Commerce Department reported new housing starts rose 5.2% in February to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 1.18 million units. However, applications for new construction followed a three-month long weak trend. Overall, economists forecast another good year for housing due to gains in the employment index that will lead people to decide to purchase a home.
