Obama Administration Focuses on Solar Energy for Lower Income Renters

The White House plans to triple the solar panels installed in government subsidized housing by 2020 and start a nationwide program to help lower income renters and homeowners gain access to solar energy. So reports Builder Online.

The program and installation of solar panels would save tenants $10 to $15 on monthly utility bills. The initiative will be funded by charities, investors, states and cities who have already committed to giving more than $520 million towards energy-efficient projects.
