Industry Too Lax on Cybersecurity: ENR FutureTech Panelist

Philip Weaver, senior director of IT for Warfel Construction Co., said despite phishing attacks rising 250% in 2018, construction company CEO’s continue to list cybersecurity relatively low on their rankings of concerns. So reports Construction Dive.

Weaver made the remarks at the ENR FutureTech conference. Panelists at the conference said there is much at stake in a breach, including personal information for employees and sensitive plan specs for tunnels, bridges and power plants. Each breach costs an average of $3.8 million to mitigate.
