As Boston experiences a construction boom, efforts to diversify the labor workforce are taking hold. So reports WBUR.

The Harvard Business School, where Klarman Hall is being built, is at the heart of a concerted effort to diversify the workforce. Klarman Hall is a new $100 million facility.

The project is under the guide of Nicole Richer, an African American woman with 18 years of experience in project management. She runs the Construction Mentor Program aimed at recruiting and training students.

According to the article, women make up 7.6% of building trades union apprentices in Massachusetts and 3.7% of non-union apprenticeships.
