Construction Policy Shifts in the Age of Trump

The construction industry is on high-alert for indications of how President-elect Trump will handle policy that affects the industry. So reports the Engineering News-Record.

Many industry executives are cautiously optimistic about what Trump says he plans for infrastructure development, given the potential political stalemates that can often confront new administration. Expectations are in favor of the new administration’s policies to shift favorably toward industry and business, but will have to overcome challenges from unions and environmental interest groups.

While Trump talks up putting America to work to improve infrastructure, what’s not yet clear is specific types of projects or the extent of projects that will be included in his plan.
