Turner/STV oversaw the construction of the landmark NYC Police Academy’s new landmark training facility in College Point, NJ.
In early January 2016, the ribbon was cut on the $745 million dollar, 720,000 square foot complex. The facility achieved LEED® Silver Certification in addition to stringent environmental compliance requirements. The new Academy will train the next generation of police officers who require more highly-specialized skills and sophisticated security training.
Among the unique features of the complex are a 350,000-square-foot academic building with classrooms, library, and administrative and faculty offices; a 240,000-square-foot physical training facility that includes a running track, tactical gym and a central utility plant. Read More:
