There’s a gap in the market for contractors willing to construct a medical marijuana "grow room" in homes or buildings. So reports Marketwatch.

In light of the recent decriminalization of recreational marijuana use in several U.S. states and the legalization of medical marijuana use in more than 20  U.S. states, there is a growing demand for builders who know how to build such grow rooms. There are unique requirements for the rooms, including high-voltage metal halide electric lamps, high-capacity intake and exhaust fans to maintain appropriate gas levels, and proper heavy-duty wiring and plumbing in a suitably sized room relative to plant growing capacity.

Residents attempting to build grow-rooms on their own put both property and person at risk for a number of fire and health hazards. This has led to the need to pay someone with the right skills to do it for them.
