The Federal government’s partial shutdown has impacted some construction organizations and programs, like the Federal Transit Administration, but has not harmed other accounts already funded through the end of 2019. So reports Engineering News-Record.

A full-year appropriations bill was enacted prior to the Nov. 6 elections, allowing the Department of Defense, Army Corps of Engineers “civil-works construction,” Department of Veterans Affairs and Department of Energy “defense environmental cleanup.” Much of the Department of the Interior is closed as a result of the shutdown.
