Commercial construction and safety will face the greatest impact from the skilled labor shortage plaguing the industry. So reports forconstructionpros.com.

The Q3 2018 USG Corporation + U.S. Chamber of Commerce Commercial Construction Index indicates 88% of contractors said they are bracing for a "moderate" impact from the shortage. Meanwhile, 57% are anticipating a "high/very high" impact over the next three years.

Further, 80% of contractors said the lack of skilled employees also impacts workplace safety. Substance abused and addition, too, were cited as factors contributing to safety concerns.
