Citing spills and other environmental violations, regulators in Pennsylvania ordered construction to be halted on the controversial Mariner East 2 pipeline. So reports The Hill.

Sunoco pipeline was accused of “willful” and “egregious” violations including well contamination. The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection ordered all work stopped, except some maintenance operations, until the pipeline is again compliant with its permits. The liquid natural gas pipeline costs around $2.5 billion.
