In July, Viewpoint Construction Software announced that it will buy Dexter + Chaney. The two companies have long been competitors in the construction business process management ERP market. So reports the Engineering News-Record.
The deal is set to close sometime in August. Dexter + Chaney was founded in 1981 in Seattle and has primarily served specialty subcontractors and the heavy civil/GC market. Viewpoint, founded in 1976, offers multi-level Cloud hosted and on-site EPR systems and solutions for mid-large companies including GC, specialty and project owners, engineers and architects. The merger of the two will bring Viewpoints' customer base to 8,000.
